Our QEII Trip
Arni retired from the Hong Kong Police at the end of January 2005. As part of the retirement package of an expatriate civil servant, we were entitled to a QEII trip back to his home country, the UK. With the help from our agent, Irene, of the August Moon Travel who bargained hard for us with both the government and the Cunard line, the four of us left Hong Kong on 8 March 2005, and spent 40 days on the QEII before reaching South Hampton in England on 16 April. From Asia to Europe, we passed Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, India, Dubai, Muscat and Salalah in Oman, Jordan, Egypt and through the Suez Canal, Turkey, Italy, and Barcelona and Malaga in Spain.
